i trusted him
he smelled sweet
and musky
like a happy child
i trusted him
he smiled true
he spoke soft
he held firm
i trusted him
he kept me
from the
buzzards
and the
coyotes hanging 'round
i trusted him
but in the end
when it came down to it
when i formed an opinion
when it really counted:
i gave him a piece of my mind
and he dropped it
